We believe that mentoring is an effective way to guide children to be successful in life. Our goals are to place a child in a one on one relationship with a trained mentor. They would be given permission to enter this kind of relationship through an agreement with either the parent, guardian, the courts, or the school system.
The children can come from any walks of life. We have no problem accepting a child who is having issues if we are aware of the issue. Our program has in the past worked with the criminal justice system to help rehabilitate the youth. We have a goal of building meaningful relationships with the youth , so that they can become productive in life.
The mentee would be able to experience fun things like going out to eat, go to a fun event (sports event, Kennywood, wave pool). The mentor would devote a couple hours a week to the relationship.
